The decision to accept Jesus Christ as one's Savior is the greatest decision you will ever make in life. The following is a guide that comes from various verses in the Bible that will help you understand the basis for this important decision and show how you can become one of God's children.



Admit        - you are a sinner; that no amount of                       good deeds is going to help you

                  - that you have disobeyed God's                               commands

                  - you are currently on the path to                             eternal punishment


Believe       - Jesus is the Son of God

                  - He willingly died on the cross to                             take the punishment for your sins


Confess      - your own inability to quit sinning                          and to make  yourself righteous

                   - your sins to God and ask Him to                            forgive you


Decide        - you will turn from your sins                                     (repent)

                   - you will put your faith in Jesus as                          your Savior

                   - you will live for God from now on                          as He gives you  the strength to                            do so.




The following is a suggested prayer that you can pray to become a Christian.


Dear God, I admit that I am a sinner. I believe that Jesus is your Son and that He died on the cross for my sins. I put my faith in Him as my Savior. I confess my sins to You right now and ask You to forgive me. I promise to live for you from now on as you give me the strength and understanding to do so. In Jesus' name....Amen."


If you prayed this prayer (or something of a similar nature) then the Bible says that you have passed from death to life, and that you are now one of God's children! You may feel very different or you may not feel anything at all, but that doesn't change the fact that you are different on the inside! Remember, the Christian life is all about faith! Romans 10:9-10

Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.
